SCV CAMP 469 TO CONSIDER HOSTING 2011 STATE SCV REUNION

SCV Camp 469 will discuss the possibility of hosting the 2011 Georgia Reunion at our August meeting. Since the 2008 Reunion in Villa Rica, several exploratory meetings have been held among the members of the camp and community leaders. Their findings will be presented to the camp as part of our regular meeting.

All camp members are encouraged to attend this very important August meeting as the direction of the Camp focus will hinge on decisions made at this time. Hosting the State SCV Reunion is a huge undertaking and will require the participation of all camp members. Numerous events are in the early planning stages for the Camp to help prepare for 2011 Reunion .

2011 will also be the kick off year for the 150 year remembrance of the Civil War. This event would emphasize the importance of Rome and Floyd County to the Southern cause and the role in which our area played. Please make plans to attend the very important August meeting and get involved with your camp!
