NEXT MEETING

    The next Camp meeting will be Thursday, August 7, at 7:00 at the library.

    Our main speaker will be Jim Ogden, who is the Chickamauga National Park Historian. Mr Ogden, a graduate of Frostburg State College in Frostburg, MD, will present a program on The History of the Prison Camp at Point Lookout, MD.

AUTO TAGS

We Made IT!

    As of July 20, Tom Brown, our State Adjutant, had received 1127 applications for SCV tags for next year. 32 applications were sent through our Camp alone, with at least 6 more having been submitted directly by the members. However, don't forget you can still preorder an SCV tag through the tag office.

    Also, don't forget that raffle tickets for the 3-band Enfield Rifle are still on sale. If you wish to buy or sell tickets, they can be picked up at the next meeting.

    One of our Camp members, the esteemed James A Elrod, 'crossed over the river' this past July 15. although in ill health for many months, Mr Elrod continued to keep up with the Camp activities. Our thoughts and prayers go with Mr Elrod and his family.
