COMMANDERS COLUMN

Gentlemen,

I just wanted to catch you up on a few thoughts I’ve had over the past few weeks regarding camp participation in the events we’ve either hosted or participated in. At last count we have roughly forty paid camp members and a few pending renewal. On an average we have had five members attend our functions, which is a little over 10 percent of the membership. The sad part is it seems to be the same five or six camp members who participate. Now I know that many of us have to work nights and weekends and cannot make all of the camp supported events but I believe we can do better. Please keep in mind this is YOUR camp. The success or failure of the camp is dependent on each and every one of us. We each have an equal say in camp decisions. Bring your thoughts, ideas, questions, answers and solutions to the camp meeting each month. The floor is open and your ideas are welcome. Together we can have a great camp!

Confederately,

                    Jim Dugger
