"An Evening at Fort Norton" will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005 beginning at 7:30 PM at the Rome Civic Center. The 8th Regiment Band will provide the music and Tim Key will serve as the dance master. Dress code will be period - military or civilian - or Sunday best.     The cost of the ball will be $30 per couple or $20 single. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by mail by sending a check or money order payable to SCV Camp 469 - Tickets. Send your request for tickets to Don Adams, c/0 Adams Furniture, 519 Broad Street, Rome, GA 30161. Camp 469 members are also encouraged to bring some type of finger food or dessert to help offset some of the cost of the event. Check with Shirley Adams regarding what to bring.

As is the custom at these balls, the hat will be passed to collect for the "War Effort." This year's collection will benefit the American Cancer Society and its war against cancer. Please come prepared to help fight this terrible disease.

Make plans to attend this year's ball. If you have never attended a Confederate Ball, please be prepared to have the time of your life. This will be an event you will not want to miss.
