The Camp, in cooperation with the Cherokee Artillery, will fire the opening salute to start the relay and will conduct Living Histories throughout the festivities. We will need to be set up no later than 5 p.m. at our campsite. Registration for the relay is $10.00 per person and is tax deductible. Please bring any funds you have raised to the next Camp meeting as well as your registration fee. Additional details will be provided at the April meeting. MEMORIAL PLAQUES AVAILABLE We have started a new section of Confederate Memorial Plaques in the library. The cost is only $10 each and is a great way to honor your Confederate ancestor. Contact Stephen Carnes for additional details and information at 706-512-1515 or (dadcarnes@yahoo.com). CELEBRATE CONFEDERATE HISTORY MONTHApril is Confederate History Month and there are a number of activities to participate in throughout the month. Let me emphasize that you do NOT have to be a member of Company A, Floyd Legion or dress in period clothing to participate. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Several memorial services are planned for the area throughout April and early May as well as several civic activities in which the Camp is involved.
