The Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 469 has ongoing programs which offer members a wide range of activities. Preservation work, marking Confederate soldiers' graves, Confederate Memorial Services, Living Histories, scholarly publications, and regular meetings to discuss the military and political history of the War Between the States are only a few of the activities sponsored by Camp 469. January 7 Camp meeting, Senior Center, Riverside Parkway, 7:00 PM. This will be a business meeting only CANCELLED
January 9 & 10 Low Country Civil War Show, Gaillard Auditorium, Charleston, SC.
January 23 Lee-Jackson Dinner, 7:00 at The Claremont House located on 2nd Ave just above the YMCA. Tickets are $35 per person. A full 3 course meal will be served. Period music will be played; speaker to be announced.
February 4 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM. Speaker will be Dan Roper - editor and publisher of the magazine Georgia Backroads - who will talk on local attorneys during the Civil War
February 6 & 7 Chickamauga Civil War Relic Show, Dalton, Ga, Northwest Georgia Trade Center, Dalton, GA
February 12 - 14 For the re-enactors, the re-enactment of the Battle of Olustee
March 4 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM. Speaker will be Camp member Zack Waters. Zack will speak on Gartrells' Georgians: Forrest's Teenage Warriors.
March 6 & 7 Corinth Civil War Relic Show, The Crossroads Arena, Corinth, MS
March 7 First Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on Highway 20 west of Rome between mile markers 11 & 12 at 8:00 AM.
April 1 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM. Our speaker will be UDC President Sandra Salmon. Ms Salmon will give a presentation on Emma Sansom's meeting with Gen Forrest.
April 10 Civil War Preservation Trust National Park Clean -Up Day at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Rome, 8 to 11 AM with local high schools participating and possible cannon fire.
April Camp 469 will participate in the semi-annual church service at Sardis church located in The Narrows 15 miles west of Rome on Highway 20. Period dress is requested and food will be served on the grounds after the service.
April 25 Confederate Memorial Day Service, 3:00, Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Rome, GA.
May 6 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM.

May Memorial Day Living History and Parade, Rome, Ga.
June 3 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM. Our speaker will be Charles Misulia. Mr Misulia will give a presentation on his book Columbus, Georgia 1865: The Last True Battle of the Civil War. He will also have copies of this new book available for purchase and signing.
June 6 Second Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on Highway 20 west of Rome between mile markers 11 & 12 at 8:00 am. Parking at the store at the corner of Highway 20 and Woods Rd.
July 1 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM.
July 11 Gen Nathan B Forrest Birthday Celebration at 2:00 at Silver Creek United Methodist Church. This is a covered dish affair and the public is invited.
August 5 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM.
September 2 Camp meeting, Rome-Floyd Co Library, 7:00 PM.
September 5 The third Adopt-A-Highway clean-up for 2009 will take place on Highway 20 west of Rome between mile markers 11 & 12 at 8:00 am. Parking will be at intersection of Highway 20 and Woods Rd at the gas station.
September 11 & 12 Tunnel Hill re-enactment
October 7 Camp meeting, Riverside Parkway Senior Center, 7:00 PM.

November 4 Camp meeting,
November 7 Fourth Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on Highway 20 west of Rome between mile markers 11 & 12 at 2:00 pm. Parking at intersection of Highway 20 and Woods Rd
December 4 SCV Camp 469 will observe our annual President Jefferson Davis Memorial Dinner at the Riverside Parkway Senior Center, 7:00 PM. This will be a covered dish supper. 2011 officers to be voted in.
