SUGGESTIONS WELCOME

Camp members are encouraged to bring forward suggestions of camp activities and ways to improve our camp. If you have an idea, please contact an officer of the camp or raise it at the next meeting. Also if you would like to serve on a committee for the coming year please don’t be shy about volunteering.

Our ultimate goal is to have an active camp whose main purpose is to honor our Confederate ancestors and to raise community awareness of their sacrifice. Together, everyone working toward a common goal, we will be successful.

CAMP 469 FLOAT PLACES 3RD

THANKS TO MANY!

The Camp 469 float captured placed third in the Adult Division in the Rome Christmas Parade on November 27th. A number of camp members and their families participated either on the float or with the decoration of the float. Special thanks goes to Lamar Fowler and his family who spent countless hours building props for the float and to Daniel Fisher who made numerous trips to the forest to cut trees for decoration. Without these two individuals there would not have been a float. Also, thanks to John Harrison for procuring a trailer and driving the truck.

All camp members are encouraged to participate in the Calhoun Christmas Parade scheduled for December 13th. For additional information contact John Harrison.

Camp 469 wishes to thank the following camp members and their families for participating in preparing the float or participating in the Rome Parade:

The Lamar Fowler Family

The John Harrison Family

Ben Terry
